Articles::Week 15 Useful Waiver Pickups (December 12, 2006)

Here are some players that may still be available on the waiver wire that you can pickup and use to solidify your team before the playoff push.

1. D.J. Hackett, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Darrell Jackson is out for this week and Hackett steps into his role in the lineup. The Seahawks really spread the ball around and Hackett should have the opportunity to make a few plays.

2. Artose Pinner, RB, Minnesota Vikings
With Chester Taylor out in week 14, Pinner really put up great numbers. Taylor is listed as questionable again this week but it seems like he might not play. If Taylor is out, Pinner will get the start again and have the opportunity to put up decent numbers this week.

3. Jeff Garcia, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
Garcia seems to have a great grasp of the Philadelphia offense and has picked up right where Donovan McNabb left off. Garcia has the mobility to stay alive in the pocket and this allows him to find the open receiver. He has big play targets in Stallworth and Brown and he can be used this week against Washington if you're hurting for a quarterback.

4. Tony Scheffler, TE, Denver Broncos
Scheffler seems to be clicking with Denver's new quarterback, Jay Cutler. In week 14, Scheffler had two touchdown catches and over the past two weeks, he has 81 total yards. He faces a soft schedule and Cutler should continue to look his way as he gets more comfortable in the offense.

5. Marty Booker, WR, Miami Dolphins
Booker really seems to be coming on this season as he is becoming Harrington's favorite target in Miami. Over the last four weeks, he has four touchdowns and 363 yards. He has a decent matchup at Buffalo this week and he can be useful if you need a starting wide receiver for this week.
