Articles::Week 13 Useful Waiver Pickups (November 29, 2006)
Here are some players that may still be available on the waiver wire that you can pickup and use to solidify your team.
1. Devery Henderson, WR, New Orleans Saints
He's the Saints newest big play weapon and even when Colston returns from his injury, he will still get a decent amount of passes thrown his way. He's shown the potential to score at any time and he would be a solid addition especially if you already have Horn or Colston since both have missed some time this season with injuries.2. Sammy Morris, RB, Miami Dolphins
He's not the greatest option but he is a starting running back which is very rare to find on the waiver wire during this time of the year. He will get the majority of Miami's carries while Ronnie Brown is out and he should be a decent pickup if you have a running back that splits carries or if you've had injury problems at the running back position.3. Vince Young, QB, Tennessee Titans
He won't probably be the missing piece to your team that will guarantee you the championship but he is becoming a reliable starter and someone who you can start if he has a good matchup. He has scored a TD in every game so far this year and he is a great late season pickup especially if you are in a keeper league.4. Jay Cutler, QB, Denver Broncos
He's in the same boat as Young but the main differences are that he's on a much better team with a great deep threat in Javon Walker and the other major difference being that he has yet to make a pro start. He looked great in the preseason and he has the team around him that will not force him to win games so he may be a viable option going forward. If you're in a keeper league, stash him away on your bench if you have the room.5. Marty Booker, WR, Miami Dolphins
He had a huge game on Thanksgiving with two touchdowns and he has developed into a reliable receiver for Joey Harrington. He won't put up numbers like those every week but he can be a decent start for you if your other receivers have poor matchups.
