Articles::Week 11 Useful Waiver Pickups (November 15, 2006)
Here are some players that may still be available on the waiver wire that you can pickup and use to solidify your team.
1. Ladell Betts, RB, Washington Redskins
Portis is probably out for the year and Betts will step in and be the main man in Washington for the rest of the year. Expect Duckett to have a larger role but Betts will get most of the carries. He's played decent when given an opportunity this year and expect his solid play to continue.2. Anthony Thomas, RB, Buffalo Bills
We recommended him last week and he may still be available in your league. He rushed for over 100 yards against the Colts last week and he has a favorable matchup against the Texans this week. The Bills don't have much of a passing game so he should be the focal point of the offense until McGahee comes back.3. Jason Campbell, QB, Washington Redskins
Brunell has been benched and Campbell will be given the chance to spark the Washington offense. He has a decent matchup against the Buccaneers this week but you shouldn't start him unless you absolutely must. If you have room on your bench, stash him for the future and see how well he plays in the coming weeks.4. Mark Clayton, WR, Baltimore Ravens
Clayton is finally starting to live up to his potential and over the last 2 weeks he has been putting up great stats. He had 125 yards and a touchdown on 7 catches last week against Tennessee. Since Brian Billick took over the play calling duties, the offense has livened up and all the receivers and McNair have looked much better.5. Patrick Crayton, WR, Dallas Cowboys
With Terry Glenn out of the lineup, Crayton has stepped in admirably. Even when Glenn was playing, he was producing decent stats as a third receiver. Look for Crayton to have a decent finish to his season and take a flyer on him if you have room on your bench.
