Articles::Week 4 Top 5 Tight Ends (September 28, 2006)

Top Tight Ends for Week 4

1. Antonio Gates
He's the top Tight End in the league and even a day against the Ravens defense shouldn't hold him down. Gates will be a great safety valve for Rivers who will be harassed all day by the Ravens defenders.

2. Todd Heap
Even though Heap is always listed as probable or questionable, he is one of the top Tight Ends who always seems to come through.

3. Tony Gonzalez
TGonz should have one of his best weeks in years since he's playing against the porous 49ers defense.

4. L.J. Smith
A matchup against the Packers this week will lead to great stats for Smith who has played very well so far this season.

5. Jason Witten
Depending on the status of Terrell Owens this week, Bledsoe may be looking in Witten's direction an awful lot. Witten should be able to get open often and have a great day.
