Articles::Week 4 Top 10 Quarterbacks (September 28, 2006)

Top Quarterbacks for Week 4

1. Peyton Manning
He's Peyton Manning, how can't he be number 1? Peyton should have a great week against a Jets secondary that gave up over 300 passing yards to J.P. Losman last week.

2. Donovan McNabb
McNabb looks like he's back to his old self and this week he gets the Packers. Even with Stallworth out last week, McNabb still put up great numbers and you should expect even better stats this week.

3. Carson Palmer
New England's defense looks more vulnerable than it has been in recent years and Palmer should be able to take advantage of it especially with the return of Houshmandzadeh to the starting lineup and the emergence of Chris Henry to complement the always dangerous Chad Johnson.

4. Marc Bulger
Bulger gets the Detroit Lions this week and should put up great stats against their weak defense. If Kitna continues to click in the Detroit offense, this game can become a shootout and lead to huge stats for Bulger.

5. Jake Delhomme
Jake's best friend on the football field finally returned last week and we saw how much better his stats are with Steve Smith on the field. After the Saints' huge emotional win last week, they are due for a let down against the Panthers and Delhomme should be a great start.

6. Michael Vick
Vick isn't usually the best starting option because of his erratic arm and turnovers but he has a great matchup against the Cardinals this week and he will have a huge game.

7. Daunte Culpepper
It's now or never for Culpepper. The Texans can't stop a high school team and Culpepper should be able to lean on Ronnie Brown and Chris Chambers to put up his best numbers in almost 2 years. If he doesn't do it here, he's not going to do it anytime soon!

8. Drew Bledsoe
Bledsoe gets to play against Tennessee whose pass rush has been less than stellar this year. This will let Bledsoe scan the field and have plenty of time in the pocket which is good news for Bledsoe owners.

9. Matt Hasselbeck
Even with the tough matchup against the Bears, Hasselbeck should be able to take full advantage of his four great wide receivers. The injury to Shaun Alexander makes it even more likely that Hasselbeck will be throwing all over the field.

10. Drew Brees
Brees has been playing great so far in New Orleans. He has really taken advantage of Horn, Colston, and Bush this season and he should keep it up this week too.
